Sarah’s 5-Week Journey – The Final Chapter
We’ve come to the final week in Sarah’s story — and what a journey it has been! Sarah, an energetic mother of two, came into our office because of nagging back pain that flared up especially after running. A passionate road runner, she typically logged 15 miles a week — three 5-mile runs that helped her clear her mind and stay grounded. But the joy of running was being dampened by persistent lower back and occasional hip pain. Even over-the-counter medications like Advil and Tylenol weren’t touching it anymore.
Initially skeptical about chiropractic, Sarah wasn’t sure if it was the right path. But after hearing a friend share their positive experience, she decided to give it a try. That referral became the first step in a major turning point in her health journey.
Her first visit at Ryan Chiropractic Wellness included a thorough posture and spinal evaluation, a digital foot scan using our Foot Levelers technology, and a conversation with Dr. Ryan about her goals and concerns. But the improvements didn’t stop with just her back. Sarah began sleeping better, waking up more refreshed. She noticed that her digestion had improved — something she hadn’t even initially considered related. With her body feeling stronger and her pain fading, she found herself motivated to keep up with her exercises and make chiropractic a permanent part of her lifestyle.
Today, she runs without pain. She’s no longer worried that a casual 5-mile jog will result in two days of soreness. Her energy is higher, her posture is noticeably better, and she feels confident in her body again. As she told us last week, “It feels amazing to enjoy running again without second-guessing every step.”
Seeing the powerful results for herself, Sarah began thinking more holistically about her family’s health. Her kids, ages 9 and 11, had developed habits that concerned her — frequent slouching while using tablets, poor posture while reading or lounging. Despite her reminders to “sit up straight,” it wasn’t making much difference.
She asked Dr. Ryan whether chiropractic could help children too. After evaluating her kids, we discovered imbalances that were already showing up in their posture and gait. With gentle adjustments and movement-based guidance, both children began regular care. Sarah reports they’re sitting and standing taller — and she loves knowing they’re building good habits for the long haul.
Sarah now views chiropractic care like she does healthy eating or staying active: essential. It’s a tool to help her stay well, not just fix what’s broken. It gives her the freedom to do what she loves — to run, parent, and live — with confidence in her body’s strength and alignment.
