Your Family Immune Wellness Plan: Strong Together All Year

This month, we’ve walked with you through simple, science-based steps to help your family stay healthier during cold and flu season—and beyond.

First, we truly hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving—full of connection, gratitude and maybe a few favorite dishes.
As we move from Thanksgiving into the rest of the holidays and toward a new year, it’s a beautiful time to pause, look back,
and decide what you want to carry forward.

In this final week of our Strong Together Immune Series, we’re pulling everything together into a simple,
realistic Family Immune Wellness Plan you can put on the fridge, share with your kids,
and update as life changes.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about having a gentle, clear roadmap so your family can feel more steady,
even when schedules, seasons and stress come and go.

Looking Back: What We’ve Built Together

If you’re just joining us, or if you’d like a quick review,
here’s what we’ve covered so far in the series:

  • Week 1 – What Is Your Immune System?
We introduced your immune system as your body’s defense team and explained how different organs and cells work together to protect your family.
    Read Week 1 here.
  • Week 2 – Sugar, Holidays & Your Immune System
We talked about how frequent sugar spikes and constant “holiday grazing” can strain your immune balance, and we shared family-friendly ways to enjoy treats without overdoing it.
    Read Week 2 here.
  • Week 3 – Sleep, Stress & Your Immune System
We explored how sleep and stress act like a control panel for your body’s defenses and gave you simple ideas for more rest and less tension during the holidays.
    Read Week 3 here.

Now, in Week 4, we’re turning all of that into something you can see, share and use with your whole family.

Building Your Family Immune Wellness Plan

A good plan doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, the simpler it is, the more likely you are to use it.
Your family’s immune wellness plan can live on one page and cover just a few key areas:

  • Sleep: What is our “aim for” bedtime and wake time on school nights and most weekends?
  • Food: What are our simple goals for colorful fruits and vegetables, water and limiting added sugars?
  • Movement: How will we move our bodies most days—walks, sports, play or at-home activities?
  • Stress & Calm: What small practices help us reset—breathing, prayer, reading, quiet time or family check-ins?
  • Care & Support: How will we stay on top of checkups, chiropractic care and any supplements we’ve chosen with our providers?

The goal is not to fill every line with rules. Instead, it’s to choose a few clear habits that match your season of life and create a visual reminder
that you can adjust as your family grows.

We’ve created a simple, printable plan you can fill out together and post on the fridge. Use it as a gentle roadmap—something you can glance at in busy moments and adjust as needed.

  • Choose 1–2 small goals in each area (sleep, food, movement, stress, support).
  • Let kids help decorate or add their own ideas.
  • Review it together once a week and celebrate progress, not perfection.

This Week’s Strong Together Challenge

For our final challenge, we’re turning your family’s ideas into a plan you can actually see and use every day.

Choose one of these to complete this week:

  • Print & post: Print the wellness plan PDF, fill it out together and put it on the fridge or family bulletin board.
  • Pick your “big three”: As a family, choose just three habits to focus on between now and the New Year.
  • Plan a check-in: Put a 10–15 minute “Strong Together check-in” on the calendar for two weeks from now to review what’s working.

Nervous System & Immune Balance

Book Your Adjustment as Part of Your Wellness Plan

Your spine and nervous system help coordinate how your body responds to everyday stress—physical, chemical and emotional.
When joints are moving well and the nervous system is functioning smoothly, your body may find it easier to adapt to the ups
and downs of busy seasons.

Chiropractic care is not a cure for colds or the flu, and we never want to promise that. Instead, we see adjustments as part of
a broader wellness approach—alongside sleep, nutrition, movement and stress management—that helps your body work the way it was
designed.

If your family hasn’t had a check-in for a while, this is a great time to schedule one and make chiropractic care a supportive part
of your Family Immune Wellness Plan.

Family Immune Wellness Plan FAQs

Q: How do we keep our immune habits going after the holidays?
Focus on a few simple daily habits—like regular bedtimes, balanced meals, movement and short stress breaks—and put them on a visible family plan.
Start small, review your plan weekly and adjust it as life changes.

Q: What if our family falls off track with our immune wellness plan?
It’s normal to have busy or challenging weeks. Instead of feeling discouraged, simply restart with one or two small steps.
You don’t need perfection to see benefits; consistency over time matters more than a perfect week.

Q: How can we involve kids in our family immune wellness plan?
Invite kids to help choose goals, decorate the chart and pick activities for movement, meals and relaxation.
Giving them age-appropriate choices and responsibilities increases buy-in and makes the plan more fun.

Q: How often should we update our family wellness plan?
Many families find it helpful to review their plan every few weeks or at the start of each new season.
As sports schedules, school demands and sleep needs change, your plan can change with them.

Q: Do we need to follow the plan perfectly to see benefits?
No. Your immune wellness plan is a guide, not a test. Even partial progress—like getting more sleep most nights or adding a few more vegetables
and walks—can support your family’s immune health over time.
